IWM Projects to be Implemented in 1.4 Mha of the Country's Rangelands

Head of FRWO announced that Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) projects will be implemented in 1.4 million hectares of the country's rangelands.
According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Masoud Mansour, Head of FRWO on the sidelines of the inauguration of the earthen stone dam of the Martyr Seyed- Hassan Tabatabai- Nasab Nisian in the village of Barzavand - Ardestan in an interview with reporters said:"More than 25,000 billion RLs has been allocated for IWM approved plan thorough the country".
He noted: "These projects will be implemented according to the cultivation conditions of each region, and the share of Isfahan province in these projects is close to 700 billion RLs, which is expected to be operational if resources are provided."
Head of FRWO pointing out that about 2.6 million hectares of rangelands are in need of IWM operations in Isfahan province stated:" IWM operations have been carried out in nearly 1.4 million hectares and water have harvested in nearly 1.4 million hectares, which proves that these plans can put an end to the water scarcity in the province".
